Veterans Services

CSUSM is home to 478 student veterans; the highest percentage per capita of any California State University campus. We also serve close to 2,000 military-connected students; which is 12% of our campus population.

The Veteran Services team is comprised of faculty and staff, all military-connected and mostly veterans, serving our student veterans, active duty, and family members in a number of ways. We're dedicated to ensuring the successful transition of our students into meaningful careers.

We have transitioned into the NEW Veteran Module. SRAs will no longer be accepted. You will need to follow the instructions on the “Certifications” tab to be certified.

Certifications

Using your VA Education Benefits -- All Veterans Affairs education benefits are processed by Veteran Services staff in Cougar Central. There are separate requirements for students using VA benefits.

Veterans to Energy Careers

At Veterans to Energy Careers (VTEC), we've found that paid internships coupled with one-on-one mentorship and professional development, using a whole-person, strengths-based approach is the key to guiding veterans to sustainable careers.

Epstein Family Veterans Center

Featuring office spaces, student work area, kitchen, lounge and event space, the Epstein Family Veterans Center is a place where military-connected students can receive support in achieving their academic and career goals with services tailored to their unique needs.
