Instructional and Information Technology Services (IITS)

Technology Order Request

Requests for new technology represents a fiscal comittment on behalf of CSUSM funds.  This is true of the intial purchase, ongoing support, and future refresh of equipment.  The campus' Information Management Steering Committee (IMSC) has established the following procedure for all campus purchases with the exception of IITS technology purchases effective October 25, 2018.

To request new technology, please submit the Technology Order Request below (IITS purchases are excluded from this requirement). 

  • Once the request is submitted, IITS will review the request and provide a confirmation that a review has been completed.
  • Thereafter, the request will be routed for eSignature to the person with fiscal authority as well as via the Department Chair/Manager, Dean/AVP, and Provost/VP if required.  

New Technology Requests

07/01/2022: Requests for one-time purchases that fall outside of the campus standards are on-hold indefinitely.  IITS is re-assessing security vulnerabilities brought on by one-time purchase devices.
